Cosplay Wednesday – Diablo 3’s Wizard Archon Armor

Diablo III Archon Armor Cosplay – Gamers Heroes

It’s Diablo mania! Not only is Blizzard’s loot-based action role-playing game Diablo 3 making waves on the PC and PS3, next-gen consoles recently got a port of the game. In honor of the series’ mass-market appeal, Gamers Heroes takes a look at a cosplay worthy of the series.

French cosplayer SakuraFlamme has been in the cosplay game since 2008. However, she has been a Diablo fan since the very first wizards hit the gaming scene in 1996. In the space of six months, she crafted every single detail of her wizard archon armor cosplay (level 60!) by hand. After all, the devil’s in the details.

Since its completion in December 2012, she has taken this cosplay to conventions like Polymanga. You can find a video of her walk down the runway below.

Do you enjoy a bit of gaming cosplay? Or maybe you’re passionate enough to do it full time. Drop me a line at casey[at]gamersheroes[dot]com and we’ll feature some of your cosplay.

Casey Scheld has more than 15 years of experience in the gaming industry as a community manager, social media director, event specialist, and (of course) gaming editor. He has previously worked with gaming start-ups like Raptr, publishers like Konami, and roller derby girls at PAX West (check out Jam City Rollergirls)! Gamers Heroes is a passion project for him, giving him a chance to tap into the underground side of gaming. He is all too eager to give these lesser-known heroes of the indie space the attention they so rightly deserve, seeking out the next gem and sharing it with the world. Previously making appearances at events like CES, GDC, and (the late) E3, he is all too happy to seek out the next big thing.
