However, there are two hidden and special jobs & classes that you can unlock that add new abilities and traits to the characters you use. If you want to unlock the Gladiator and Sage for use, check the information below.

The first thing you will need to do is raise classes/jobs to level 20. If you want to unlock the Gladiator you will need a Level 20 Warrior and Level 20 Martial Artist on one of your main characters. For the Sage you will need a Level 20 Priest and Level 20 Mage on one of your main characters. There’s also a really good reason to level Thief to level 20 too, if you want to unlock locked chests in Dragon Quest Heroes 2 (but that’s not required for unlocking Gladiator or Sage).

Once you have the desired class combinations at level 20 speak with the Vocation guy inside Accordia. He will give you a quest. Below is the information for each of the quests. Both of these quests require you to go solo so be sure to remove everyone from your party before starting.

Gladiator
This is the harder of the two quests to complete. You will need to play as the Warrior or the Martial Artist for this quest. You have 15 minutes to kill 250 enemies in The Battle Of The Great Divide South. There are a ton of huge enemies, ignore them and focus on the little guys. In the south-west corner of the map there is a spot that has a large group of small enemies. Go there, clear them out, head back to the center and repeat. They will respawn as long as you go far enough away and that is the best place to kill a bunch of enemies quickly. When you finish, return to the quest lady and you will unlock the Gladiator class.

Sage
This one is much easier because you have to go to The Battle Of Wildwood and those enemies are a cake walk even at 20. You need to play as the Mage or the Priest class for this mission. Enter the battle, make sure it is The Battle Of Wildwood(free) and clear out the enemies in the west square. Then take the teleporter and when you get to the next area re-enter the teleporter so you are back where you started. That square will be full of enemies again and you can farm 250 easily that way. Return to the quest lady when you are finished and you will unlock the Sage class.
