Star Ocean The Second Story R Version 1.10 Now Available

Version 1.10 of Square Enix’s Star Ocean The Second Story R brings with it a new difficulty mode, post-game Raid Enemies, new weapons, and more.

As part of this update, a new, dynamic difficulty level has been introduced, dubbed CHAOS mode.

In addition, this update brings with it the inclusion of Raid Enemies. This new feature allows players to fight against individual members of the Ten Wise Men after the main story has been completed. Note that each Wise Man will come equipped with a unique special attack. Once players defeat them, they can get themselves a unique Jewel that can summon the Ten Wise Men with the Assault Action system.

In addition, new NPC character art drawn by Character Designer Yukihiro Kajimoto will be unlocked at various in-game events. Said art features the NPCs Regis, Allen, Mariana, Eleanor, Clyde and Leifath. Note that players will also be able to view all character art pieces unlocked throughout the story at the game’s title screen, which includes art for playable characters.

Players will also be able to view all the ending patterns unlocked so far from the newly added Ending Collection, which can be seen from the Special option on the title screen.

Finally, Version 1.10 will add a mix of weapons, equipment, and character accessories, which will become available once players have completed the main storyline. Finally, players can now opt to reset their character level but keep obtained items, allowing for continued character growth in New Game +.
