New World: Aeternum Closed Beta Console Test Beginning This Week

Starting July 25 (tomorrow!), an invite-only, cross-play Closed Beta test for Amazon Games’ New World: Aeternum will occur in North America and Europe.

Running through July 31, this Closed Beta test for New World: Aeternum will give players the chance to customize a character, experiment with unique weapons, and explore vast, supernatural zones.

The chance for players to try out New World: Aeternum’s end-game content will also be available.

Note that the Closed Beta will be broken up into two phases:

  • New player experience (Phase 1): July 25, 9am PT
    • During this time period, players can get a taste of what the New World: Aeternum console experience has in store at launch. Note that there will be minor quality of life adjustments to take into account the short test window, and Amazon will disable the standard 72-hour chat cooldown when new characters are made.
  • End-game experience (Phase 2): July 28, 7am PT
    • During this optional time period, players will be able to create a new character and select one of our level 65 presets in New World: Aeternum. Players can also get the chance to receive end-game gear, powerful weapons, max level attribute points, and full weapon masteries.

During this time period, players can either use a level 65 preset to create a new character, or can alternatively continue to level their original character from the Phase 1 period.
