Give Johnny The Marred Or Pristine Crown In Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

During the quest The Saga of the Seaside Inn, you have a choice on what item to hand to Johnny. This guide on Give Johnny The Marred Or Pristine Crown In Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth explains the rewards and outcome of both choices, in case you wanted to save the Pristine Crown for more selfish means.

When you defeat the Tonberry King, if you don’t steal his crown, Yuffie will comment on getting a nicer crown. In order to obtain this unique item, you need to Pressure the Tonberry King by avoiding his attacks and then quickly responding with ATB abilities. This will Pressure the King Tonberry and cause him to drop his crown. You can then use the Steal ability on the crown to obtain it. So, what’s the difference between giving Johnny the Marred Crown or the Pristine Crown?

Give Johnny The Marred Or Pristine Crown In Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

Well, there isn’t really a difference. At the end of this quest Johnny will offer to display your collectibles collection to visitors – these are unique items you can find scattered across the game. If you give Johnny the Marred Crown, you can complete the quest as normal, but that’s it.

If you want to complete Johnny’s Treasure Trove of collectibles, you actually need to own the Pristine Crown – it becomes one of the many items displayed at his hotel. So, ultimately, if you just want to complete the quest, the Marred Crown is fine. If you want to eventually complete the collection, you need the Pristine Crown. You can find it on the table upstairs.
