There you will find a scorpion-man who refers the the areas boss, Scorpioness Najka, as his ‘better half’. Speak to him before the boss fight to recieve NPC help with the battle, OR speak to him after the battle to receive a Fragrant Branch of Yore. You must have a Ring of Whispers equipped to talk with him, which can be obtained from the cat in Majula
